What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a custom-fit bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is welded closed instead of secured with a clasp. It’s designed to be worn every day as a seamless, meaningful piece of jewelry.
What materials do you use for permanent jewelry?
We use high-quality, long-lasting materials made for everyday wear, including14k gold-filled chainsand.925 sterling silver. Solid gold options may be available uponspecial requestor custom order.
How long does permanent jewelry last?
With proper care, permanent jewelry can last for years. Our materials are designed to withstand regular activities like showering, swimming, sleeping, and working out.
Is permanent jewelry actually permanent?
“Permanent” means there’s no clasp, but it’s not forever in the sense that it can’t be removed. If needed, permanent jewelry can be safely cut off and re-welded later.
Does getting permanent jewelry hurt?
Not at all. The welding process is quick and painless. The welder never touches your skin, and the process is designed to be safe and comfortable.
Is permanent jewelry safe?
Yes. Permanent jewelry is safe for everyday wear when properly fitted and welded.

Can I shower with permanent jewelry?
Yes! You can shower, wash your hands, and go about your normal routine with permanent jewelry on.
Can I swim in the ocean or pool with permanent jewelry?
Yes. Our14k gold-filledand.925 sterling silverchains are designed for everyday wear, including swimming. Rinsing with fresh water after saltwater or chlorine helps preserve the finish.
Will permanent jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
We use materials designed to resist tarnishing and discoloration. Skin reactions are rare, and proper care helps keep your jewelry looking its best.
Does permanent jewelry go through TSA and airport security?
Yes. Permanent jewelry goes through TSA just like traditional jewelry and does not typically set off metal detectors.
What if I need to remove it for a medical procedure?
Permanent jewelry should be removed for MRIs or certain medical procedures.Pearl & Palm Jewelry will re-weld any bracelet purchased from us at no charge.Bracelets purchased elsewhere can be re-welded for a$20fee.
Breakage, Removal & Re-Welding
What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?
If your permanent jewelry breaks, save the chain. In many cases, it can be re-welded.
Do you offer repairs or re-welding?
Bracelets purchased from Pearl & Palm Jewelry are re-welded for free.Bracelets purchased elsewhere can be re-welded for a$20 re-weld fee.
Can permanent jewelry be removed?
Yes. Permanent jewelry can be removed by cutting the jump ring. Bracelets purchased from Pearl & Palm Jewelry can be re-welded for free; others for $20.
